Grad Show Pics

Some more promo sketches for the film I'm working on. I did these for my Fine Art Graduate Show. I didn't expect a great deal to come out of this, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that they actually turned out nicely :) Here's hoping that the actual film turns out half as nicely!

Halfway Stage

Since its gonna be a while until I paint anything again, I thought I'd just put up what I've managed to do on this so far. The face is pretty much done, and everything else is just basic blocking

Mad Skills

Man Under Pressure

Been wanting to do a caricature of a sports figure for a while now, and I thought good ol' Arsene was a good choice because his face kinda lends itself to it. One day this might become a painting...we hope.

Poster

An attempt at a promotional poster for my upcoming short film "The Critic and the Sweeper". I think I like the colours I chose :)

Arthouse

Cover image of a Web Comic I started last year

Trolloc (I think)

I wanted this to be a Trolloc from the late Robert Jordan's awesome fantasy series "The Wheel Of Time" but it kinda just ended up looking like minotaur or something...

Sweeper Head Studies

Some early designs of a character from a film I'm working on

Bridges

Blocking stage of Jeff Bridges' character from the first 'Iron Man' film

Like Mike

A quick study I did of a friend of a friend of mine. He's the lead singer of the band I mentioned in an earlier post; The Comic Book Theory

Darryl

Thought it'd be cool to revisit a character I designed years ago. Might do something a little more with him later...

Rincewind - After Paul Kidby

Okay, so I've always felt REALLY uneasy about copying the work of other illustrators...mostly 'cause I don't feel I deserve to (especially when it comes to masters of like Paul Kidby)!. But jeez, I learned SOOO much from doing this quick study! So I reckon I'm gonna do a few more 'copies'. I'll never try to profit off them though...
